Baby Talk | George Roșu

Baby Talk  is a performance by George Roșu at the Young Naturalists Resort in Timișoara, in the context of the exhibition Oasis. Green Identity.

Baby Talk is a pretext for writing with colored magnetic letters on rusty metal surfaces. The artist proposes an action of several hours in which his ideas related to the fracture between communication models are materialized in abrupt sentences, which compress complicated contexts or situations. George Roșu's practice provides a model for maintaining the frankness of communication when the sophistication of language leads to the evasion of meanings.

The toy letters are taken out of their classic circuit, they become a serious artistic medium, sometimes composing highly significant statements. The contrast between the form and materiality of the message and the content of the message is obvious.
